We have always loved staying on Disney property because of the plethora of transportation options. Between the monorail, boats, trams and, of course, the buses, getting there is sometimes half the fun!
On our 2009 trip, we traveled to Fort Wilderness (by car) and then took the internal resort bus back to the bike barn to go canoeing on the river. The bus was empty, and the driver talked to us the entire time. It was classic Disney!
