Ok, in the attempts of learning GIMP... how did I do? I'm not exactly sure what I did but it looks cool.

I like how you used it to make the second paper - the green one. I think you are in the right track... you start with something and then you change it, then you change it again, then again, then again... until you think "is perfect now" Of course, a few days later, you might want to change it again, or at least that is what happens to me!
