Greetings!
My name is Jazzi and I'm from Minnesota and I have been dabbling with sig tag and Incredimail stationary making off and on for 5 years or so. I have Paint Shop Pro versions 7-X2 and am waiting for X3; I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop 4 and then the upgrade of 5 and Corel Painter. Having seen many of the same scraps being used over and over again in the scrap kits that I purchase and have been able to find for free, I have decided to try my hand at scrap making. Much to my dismay I am now seeing many of the tutorials are in Photoshop Elements and Gimp which are less expensive and free programs that I would prefer NOT to purchase or use. I would like to learn how to make scraps with the expensive programs that I own now. Sorry for the novel. Anyone have any ideas? I have been buying CU PSP Scripts even though I have no intention on ever selling or giving anything I make away; it will all be for personal use. I also am looking at the world of pixel art again LOL; something I dabbled in a few years ago also. Thanks, ~Jazzi~ |

Try these shortcuts, they helped me immensley when I was starting out!
http://vivayne.com/photoshop-hints/ Oh yes, and practice practice practice. If I was you, I would try to take the things you have, and alter them (or create them) to fit your own layouts. This kind of experimentation is fun and actually yeilds results (meaning your result is a great layout). That's a great way to start now. Also, you could try your hand at making doodles and stuff. Hope this helps ![]() Last edited by vivayne : 10-23-2010 at 11:25 AM. |
