Default How do I use digital templates in The Gimp?

I'm a new gimp user and I'm *thrilled* to find some other scrappers who use it! Thank you!

I saw your tutorial on using templates with photoshop and wondered if any one knows how to use them in the gimp?

Default How to modify a Photoshop Template using the GIMP

Hello Tigerlilly and welcome to Scrapbooks gone Digital!

I will be posting a GIMP Video Tutorial on how to modify Photoshop Templates using The GIMP in about a week or so.

But in general a photoshop template is a pre-made layout. Ready for you to customize it with your picture(s).

During this GIMP Video tutorial:
"Creating your first GIMP Digital Scrapbook Layout" we created a layout from scratch, then we added our picture.

So, if you open a photoshop template using The GIMP, you can skip all of the steps from the above tutorial and just start right off from the part where we added our picture.

The only difference is that your picture will be on top of all of the layers, which means that you might have to move down to place your picture in the right order (below some frame or on top of some photo place holder).

If this doesn't make any sense, don't worry. I should be posting that video tutorial soon.

Norma

Default Thanks.

I figured out how to do it on my own (which is different than what you wrote here), so it was good to see how someone else does the same thing!

Thanks again

Can you give us a link to your layout?

We would love to see it.

Hello rquebedo,

If you would like to see the same photoshop template, you can purchase it from our store for $1.50. Here is the link:
