How do I get gimp to save my layouts with the layers still intact?? After making several, I see that they merge them all together when I save. Thanks!

Gimp uses it's own file extension, it's .xcf
So to keep all layers intact ensure you specify the .xcf file format, this way next time you want to play with your layout the layers are still all there. Only merge or flatten when you want to save as .jpg or .tif file format for uploaded to web. hope this helps, hugz Mo |

You can also see this tutorial:
http://www.scrapbooksgonedigital.com...IGITAL_LAYOUT/ The section with the title: Saving you work as a GIMP Template: towards the end, shows how to save your layout in GIMP format. Norma |
