Spice up their birthday party with a Digitally Created Scrapbook


We spent hours creating their digital scrapbooks, looking for the perfect pictures, capturing the right moments, etc, etc; but many times only a few of our close friends get to see our final work of art.
For my daughter's 5th Birthday, I decided to spice it up a little by printing a Digital Scrapbook about "Her First Five" to go around the birthday party tables. This was a great way to show how much she had change during her first five years of her life and to share our most special moments. After all, is was her day !
I created a total of 12 Digital Scrapbook pages using templates I already had (to save some time, since there is so many preparations to do for a birthday party). To make them easier to print, I resize each template page to an 8 x 10 in. before adding my pictures and journals.
The pages had these themes and titles:

• I will never forget.. the day you were born
  • I included pictures of the day she was born and how I felt about it. Our first impression of who she looked like and what was like giving birth to her.
• Cute and Funny Baby Pictures:
  • For this page, I just picked up cute and funny baby pictures. For each picture, I noted the dates when they were taken.
• School Days:
  • she loves going to school, this page contains pictures and comments about her first day at Pre-K.
• Five words that describe Valerie
  • In this page, I picked up five words that best describe Valerie and I describe how and why she fits that personality.
• Funny Comments and Conversations
  • This page contained comments that she had made that just astonished me, surprise me, amaze me or just made me laugh.
• Meeting Mickey
  • She was so excited about going to Mickey's house and meeting mickey. She was so excited that we couldn't get her to look at the camera to take her picture; she only wanted to look at Mickey. This scrapbook page capture that magical moment.
• Sleeping Patterns
  • This page describe the bed time ritual and all of the work that it took to her to sleep on her own bed.
• Glamis Time
  • My husband loves Motorcycle Quads, and on her 5th Christmas's he got her a mini Motorcycle-Quad. This page describe the first time she drove it at the dessert.
• I'm a Princess
  • Valerie is an all-time Princess. This page describes why.
• Grandmas are special because...
  • Both of her Grandma's are very special to her. This page describes what is so special about each Grandma.
• What I love about YOU
  • This is a page about me and the reason why I love her so much.
• Who is Valerie Aguilera?
  • This page is about what she symbolizes to me, her dad, her sister, her grandma and to her aunty.

After creating the Digital Scrapbooks, just print them on a 8x10 page using your local printing services or your own printer. Put the Printed Scrapbook Pages on a nice 8x10 album and be ready for all of the "oh" and "..ha". See Printing your Digital Scrapbooks.
If you want to really impress your guess, save your Digital Scrapbooks on your laptop as a Slide Show and display your Digital Scrapbook Slide Show at the cake and gift table.
