This is especially for Vanessa who asked how I achieved the effect I used in my "Corey, our Nature Boy" lo, http://www.scrapbooksgonedigital.com...er_7-small.jpg.
![]() Start with just a single photo and perform the following instructions: * duplicate photo layer - apply the following to the copy of photo * Colors > Invert * Image > Mode > Grayscale * set the blending to colour dodge (don't worry if your layer goes all white, the next instruction will reveal all )* Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur - about 50 radius setting * Image > mode > RGB and merge layer with 1st original photo layer * now add just merged photo to your layout page and set blending to overlay (I used multiple) Happy scrapping ![]() Mo Last edited by buttner-jenkins : 09-03-2008 at 10:01 PM. |

You want to do this to the picture (ie she used the picture of the dog like she also used in the filmstrip) Then transport it into your LO over the background paper and set the photo layer as an overlay.
You'll find dodge and overlay here in the layers pallete: (blending is the same as mode) pull it down and in english dodge is 7th from the top and overlay 6th from the top. (In nederlands is dodge mischien afzeggen en overlay well zoiets als overleggen) But I know how you feel, I used a dutch computer a few years ago and I had to do things by memory of where it was in english and assume they hadn't changed any locations lol |

So sorry Vanessa that my instructions confused you.
Thanks Nifty for jumping in helping with the extra instructions. Has anyone else given this a go? Mo |

Try this Vanessa... Cheers, Mo |

Nice Scrapness, but I'll have to checkout the Dutch instructions out as I would have thought there should be more blackish pencil lines. I will check and perhaps include a couple of screenshots.
