Default As I critique my own work....

Most of the time when I finish one of my layouts, I really like what I done. I don't leave it alone until I believe is perfect (under my own eyes, of course), So, I upload it to the gallery.... thinking that is complete.

But a day or two after I upload it, I look at it again in the gallery, and I find imperfections. For example: the tag is too big, the frame is not completely center, the journaling is missing something, the picture should had been cropped more, etc, etc.

So, I go back and make those changes. Because I know myself, I always save a working copy of everything I do. I even create a "working" directory for each of my kits sub directories, like:

Father Days Kit Directory
elements
working_dir
papers
working_dir
Quick pages
working_dir

So, I can always go back and make fast changes.

In this case, again, I really love the original layout, but when I look at it after a day or two, I thought it was a little too plain. So, I added a subtle but meaningful border because I still like the simpleness of the original layout.

Here is the original:

Here is updated:

It is always good to get someone's opinion, so...
what do you guys think?
Which one do you prefer?
Which one do you think looks better?

Have you critique your own work? Show us the results and let us learn from it.

Enjoy!

SGD:

I like the updated version. You can see the expression on the little girl's face. It is so sweet.

Yes it is... and then you can just change the picture and wola! you have another page for another member of the family!

The pages above were created for my husband and for my brother in law (sister's request) for father's day.
