Default ISO a tutorial on how to make cardboard

I am looking for a way to make distressed cardboard looking items in GIMP. I have seen a lot of people who make the cardboard and distressed cardboard elements and I would love to learn how to make that myself. Or, If anyone knows where I can get a stock photo type thing that I can alter it in GIMP, that would work too!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I think the realistic stuff is actual cardboard. There are some tut's out there but frankly most aren't that great, and only cover the corrugated part and not any fuzzy torn layers on top.

I did find some nice photoshop styles, but I have no idea if they work with gimp.
