Hi,
Some one email this GIMP question, but when I reply the email returned saying I had an invalid address, so I am posting here. Hopefully Moriah will read it. Thanks! Question: when using transparent templates such as a planner how do you change each little box with different papers? Do you cut and paste these to fit? I'm new to this and have a brother who's a huge linux and open source guy so I'm trying it myself. I like scrapbooking but don't enjoy the cutting and glueing and not being able to reuse things. I actually like to create planners and functional things for myself and to give as gifts. Answer: Hello Moriah, Are you taking about the calendar templates? http://www.scrapbooksgonedigital.com...roducts_id=248 For this, each "little box" or element has its own layers. To change the color of the element, you can: Click on the layer with the "little box" or element Click on the Right-Mouse Button and select "Alpha to Selection" Click on the "Fill GIMP Tool" (the bucket with the colors) Select "Pattern fill" Click on the desire pattern. Click on your image To make your papers appear in the "pattern" list: GIMP Instructions 2.2 : Open your desire paper, Script-Fu->Selection->To Pattern. Select a layer from the template->Right-Mouse-Click->Alpha to selection->Fill using your pattern paper or any color. GIMP Instructions 2.4 : Open your desire paper, Save As->GIMP Pattern. Select a layer from the template->Right-Mouse-Click->Alpha to selection->Fill using your pattern paper or any color. Let me know if this helped. Thanks! Norma |
