I am interested in doing this, but the program I currently use is limited. I downloaded Gimp recently. Is there a way to do this with this program? I am interested in making premade digital pages. TIA!

Hi Kim!
sorry I didn't see this sooner. Is GIMP the only program you work with or do you have another? To be honest, I never worked w/GIMP before. I usually use Photoshop Elements. The premade pages, or quick pages, are fun to make. Make a digiscrap page, usually w/a frame. I think what I do is after I finished designing my layout & added all the drop shadows, I save it & flatten it. That is merger all the layers together. Then I use a cutting tool to cut out the middle of the frame. Save it as a .png file. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, it helps when you first open a blank page to start your layout, have the background be transparent. I'll try to check out GIMP next week. hope this helps. I think there are some GIMP tutorials in the forum.
