Default In case one of your relatives asks you do help out with wedding photography...:)

In case one of your relatives asks you do help out with wedding photography...

1. Most important, a wedding photographer should have sufficient amount of batteries, memory cards, flashes, etc. You will need a back-up camera and backup lenses. Make sure you do have a back-up camera because you may be sued if your camera fails. Have a wide angle lens, and a long lens.

2. Meet the couple before. Ask for a shot list (the most important pictures for the couple). Make sure that they want your style and you understand what kind of pictures they want! If they want mostly posed pictures then you may want to focus on posed pictures. If they want to have photojournalistic pictures then don't try to force them to pose. They won't be happy about it.

3. Try to be bold but don't intrude into the wedding. You are not the one who is running the show. You can make suggestions but make sure that you are not pushy.

4. Don't be boring! Again, don't be boring. It can make the bride and groom fall asleep!

5. Dress properly and make sure that you assistant/second wedding photographer dresses properly.

6. Always expect the unexpected!

7. Don't be shy to ask experienced wedding photographers for advice. They are happy to help.

8. Pay attention to small details- Browse the latest issue of wedding magazine to get some new ideas and inspirations. Do shoot small wedding details as well, like the ring, wedding dress, shoes, decoration, cake, menus, and so on. These snapshots will make the album look unique.

9. For small weddings s second photographer is not necessary but can help a lot. You just can't get everything. You can't be everywhere. He/she will help you to cover the ceremony in a detailed manner.

10. Make sure you know your camera very well!!! You have to adjust settings in fractions of seconds, there is no room for waiting for you to figure out what to do.
11. Try to look for interesting areas background at the wedding venue. Do it all the time. A nice foreground and background can make a huge difference!

12. When you have a break, delete the under or overexposed pictures. It can save tons of time and help you photography workflow.

hiring the good professional wedding photographers will mean that you need to spend a bit of money for the wedding; however again, when you see the pictures of weddings, where in photographer has actually managed to capture most precious moments in most versatile way, and you will not at all care a lot for money that you have paid to be clicked. But, on other hand, in case, you don’t hire the professional wedding photographer, you may need to spend lots of money to get the photographs edited as well as look better than they initially did. Therefore, it is always good to not actually worry much about $500, which you may need to pay extra to professional photographer, providing the wedding day photos turn out being great.
