This is my first Digital attempt - HELP

I've only just started to use the Gimp software - had it for sometime but only just got the guts to try it!

So I made my first attempt and I was as nervous as hell - Managed to add a few layers and move them arround - I have purchased loads of Layouts and quick pages - NO idea how to use them -also just become a SGD Club Member - and downloaded lots of stuff - again no idea what to do with it. I will look at the tutorials - but any help will be gladly accepted. Cannot add my layout (i think that is what they are called) as it was to big even after zipping it!
