Default made a new alpha set

I was playing around with GIMP last night and madee an alpha set that looked like it was stone. I was so excited. I will try to remember what I did so that I can post how to do it. I will upload a preview to the gallery so you can see what it looks like.

I am uploading it to photobucket now! What I did was take a neutral color that had the color of stone. In this case, I chose a camel khaki color. I thin use a wrinkled paper brush in the overlay mode with the color of the brush being white. It lightened it up just enough to where it looked great. Then I went through and put my brush over the alpha set several times. I set my brush kind of small so I could get smaller ridges in the "stone". I then made a duplicate layer of the finished layer with the brush. Then I did the bimp map filter and just played around with it between the different layers and stuff until I got the look I wanted. It was really very easy. I also made another set that has the look of the gold leaf stuff. It was a little lighter than the stone alpha so I called it gold leaf. Let me know what you tink about it. I will post when I get through uploading it.

not bad so far. I feel like I have designer's block. I have so many ideas running through my head right now. I just can't decide what I want to do first. I put together a CU doodle kit for my first item for the store. I think I am going to do some alphas tonight since it doesn't take much time. I know there are people out there like me who are alpha addicts and can't get enough of them!!!
