Default Borrowing Journaling

Journaling Strategy:
Borrowing Journaling.

What do I mean?
Using a song lyrics, poems, and/or phrases that you did not created but you can identify or relate yourself with.

For example?

For example, one day I was listening to the radio while doing the dishes and I hear the song "I hope you dance" It was very late at night, so I had the luxury of stopping for a second to hear the song and really picture the lyrics. As I was hearing the song, all I could think was about my five year old daughter. I wanted to dedicate that song so much to hear, but instead of telling her "Oh, I dedicate this song to you", specially because she is so young, I decided to create a layout and use the lyrics for my journaling.
The result was beautiful. I was very happy with the outcome.

Now, is your turn!

Is there a song, a poem or a phrase that just the thought of it makes you think about someone special? Is there a song that you would like to dedicate to someone? If so, what is it?

I'm interested in how people keep journals of their European trips. I realize people go about it different ways. I just want to hear about how you go about it.I asked the Europe forum because I am always impressed with the trip reports and advice in this section.

I never have kept a journal and for years I didn't believe in taking photos either. I figured who else would want to read about my trips and see my travel photos.

I understand now the error of my ways. I realize it's a good way to remember about places you have been and a great help in planning a next trip.

My questions are these. Do you write every place down that you go, including prices or do you just write down the highlights? Do you keep receipts or ticket stubs to help you remember in the journal? What about photos. Do you label them all when you get back?
