okay, please help me!! I have created a number of quick pages in GIMP, only to find out they are useless!!!
The space created to place the quick page users photos, the "hole", keeps filling up with back ground color as soon as I flatten the image. What am I doing wrong??? Please help soon, as I have a collab due in a few weeks...And I am about ready to cry!!! Thank you, Judith |

you will need to save them as a png format to allow for the layers to have the transparent opening. Also, are you starting off with a transparent background???

it took me a while to actually figure out what I was doing wrong before I made one right. That is the two biggest things that will cause you to have a background color. Is it when you open it up in GIMP, or is it on the previews? I know my previews that I look at on my computer have colored backgrounds, but it won't be that way in GIMP!! Hope I could help.
