GIMP 2.4 Text on Path

Hello GIMP Scrappers!

One GIMP user asked me about how to make a text follow a path. This feature is only available on GIMP2.4 and GIMP 2.4 is not available on the store, mainly because I want to make sure GIMP2.4 is really stable before offering as a download. So I don't have any tutorials on this great new feature, but I found one on the Internet and I was able to follow the steps and create my text on path.

I have been working on this tutorial and finally got the text to follow the path. I am having problems getting the text to fill with color. Am I missing a step? If anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it! I don't want to get frustrated with the process!

I actually played around and figured out where I was going wrong. I wasn't clicking on the layer that the text was selected in. After much trial and error I was able to get it to work. This is such a great new feature! It adds a lot to my layouts. I still have a lot to learn though!
