Would you like ideas on how to improve your layouts?


During the month of Jan 2008 I will be hosting a challenge called "Making the best of my Digital Scrapbook Layout"

The purpose of this challenge is to get everyone involve in giving and receiving constructive feedback on each other's layouts.

In this challenge, you will be require to create or select one of your existing layouts that you think it "needs something". The layout has to be completed and post it in our Learning Center SgD Gallery and also listed under this thread.

Everyone is welcome to participate. If you post a layout to receive constructive feedback, you are require to give constructive feedback to other layouts posted for this challenge. For each constructive feedback that you give, you are also require to mention something that you like about the layout. The constructive feedback has to be posted as a comment in the Learning Center SgD Gallery.


Please remember to phrase your suggestion in a postive way.

During the first week of February, you are require to post your "FINAL" layout. You don't need to incorporate all of the suggestions if you don't want to, but we will still like to see your final layout with a few improvements.

Since the final layout will be ready in the begining of February, I recommend that we use a "Valentine" theme, but is not require --you can use any theme!

What a great idea! I'll see what I can do to post a LO as well. I'm always open to suggestions and can surely use them to help improve my skills. :)

The challenge is over!! Thanks to everyone that participated with comments.

Here is my BEFORE and AFTER Layout with all of the suggestions!!

I was going to list all 10 Things that I changed in the "BEFORE" layout to make it look like the "AFTER" layout, but I thought that would be too easy and boring.

Instead... can anyone tell me what are the 10 Things that changed in the layout?
Hint: some embellishments have two changes on them.

I will post the answer at the end of February.

Love the new layout and the changes. Although, I did like the before layout tooo. B&W photos always makes the elements on the page stand out.
